History
In 1852, John Rodulph Hammer bought land from the railroad. "Like others before him, Hammer began to subdue the land with ox and plow...He came to farm. Five generations, echoes of his spirit, came after him." This quote from Archie Lieberman's photo book, "Farm Boy," describes the beginning of the Hammer family's rich farming history.
Our Story
Seven generations later, after dairy farming for more than 30 years, this family is continuing the story by raising Hereford steers like Great Grandpa Willis did. These animals have access to fresh stream water and pasture all year. Generation after generation, our family's passion is farming. We are excited to share, "Farm Boy Beef" with you, and continue this Hammer farming tradition by producing quality beef that goes from our farm to your table.
